one hot summer I decided to visit the coal mines, I got the information from a friend that there are huge tailings ponds full of black clay mud. I didn't hesitate and jumped there. I immediately fell down to my waist. every move I went lower and lower. my feet still didn't feel the bottom, but I know that these reservoirs are more than 40 years old so for the time of storing the material there can be a depth of even 10 meters. I wasn't interested in that because it's impossible to drown in such material, the mud still buoys the body. In one place the coal mud was so thick I couldn't even move and it was very difficult to climb. in the other place it was like yogurt so it was almost possible to swim in it.What's interesting is that I can't compare it to anything I've ever been in before. it's neither mud nor clay nor kaolin mud. it acts like quicksand but it's not sand, it's actually waste in washing mined coal so very fine dust particles of coal dispersed in water. it doesn't react to skin in any way, no rash. it feels like some kind of putty or some kind of dust mixed with oil. I can't quite describe it but it's actually like sparse asphalt or thick crude oil.
I enjoyed this place immeasurably, after two hours i rinsed all the layer with water and scrubbed the rest at home with soap without difficulty.
